You would think that after two years of living away from home, I would be used to it. But today during church (without being provoked by anything) I became really homesick and came home and just cried. Sad I know! I mean come on! I'm 20 years old!!! Aren't I supposed to be all grown up and used to living on my own and comfortable with the fact I no longer live with my parents. I guess none of those things really bother me. It would just be a lot easier if my family and I lived closer to each other so I could go home more than 3 times a year. It drives me crazy when people complain about being so far from home and their family is only 2 hours away. Or they whine and complain about having to go home for little things on the weekends and I wish I had that luxury. Not that I'm complaining about my life. I love it and I am so happy I chose to come to school up here. It's just a little more difficult than I ever imagined it would be. Hopefully, time will help it get easier. Maybe by the time I graduate, I'll be good. :)
Maybe I'm just really stressed out with finals coming up this week and everything and it just exploded into homesickness. I took a nap this afternoon while watching Pride and Prejudice (Kiera Knightly style) and I feel much better. Yup it's gotta be a sign that I'm growing up that taking a nap puts me in a better mood. hahaha Wow.

Freaking AMAZING!
How can you watch that and not have Aggie pride?! I just don't know!
So next week is Finals Week and then school is out for the summer. Woo hoo!!! I'm almost halfway done with my Bachelors Degree. How is that possible? I have found that the older I get, the faster time goes by.

Spectrum Photo Shoot
So a couple months ago, a friend of mine asked me to be in a recruitment video they were shooting and to be in a photo shoot afterward. So I did. :) It was all done in the Spectrum and unfortunately I was sick, so pretty sure I sounded like a man and looked super tired, but a couple pictures turned out nice. Here are some of my favorites:

I even got to take some with my good friend Erin Whyte!!! (or The Erin as she is known in our house)

Then we took some overlooking the Spectrum and I thought they looked cool. Too bad some guys are playing basketball. Who knew you could just show up and play on the court? I sure didn't.

Life is so busy!...but I love it!!!
My new favorite hang out place in Logan is a new ice cream/frozen yogurt shop called Yummi Tummi's. It was opened by three former USU basketball players and is the coolest place ever. It is self serve ice cream that you can then put toppings on and pay by the oz. They have a room attached that has lots of seating, a bunch of tvs, some game tables, and TONS of pictures on all the walls, honoring all sorts of Aggie sports. However, being true to their basketball history, the owners dedicated one whole wall to an enlarged version of this year's team poster. I've been to a couple events there and have been very impressed each time. It's about time Logan had a place like this.
I am currently trying to find a place to live for the summer and next school year. A couple of my friends and I have decided to live together and all but one of us already do, so we know it will be ok. :) Or at least should be. It's so disheartening though to look at how much it will cost, know how much school will cost next year, and know that I have TONS of work to do this summer to be able to afford it. This school thing is ridiculously expensive. And thanks to budget cuts, it's only becoming increasingly so. I hate money...and the fact that I need lots of it and have very little of it. So stressful.
There are only 6 1/2 weeks left of school, including finals! This year has gone by so fast! After these next few weeks, I will be officially half way done with my undergraduate degree! Crazy!!! It's so weird how fast time goes by. However, I am enjoying every bit of it. My classes are awesome, my new major is interesting and things just seem to fall into place when they need to. Life is great. Difficult but totally worth it.

January Baby!
So I just took a stupid quiz that told me "what my birthday says about me"..yes I am that bored. Anyway, it turned out to be pretty accurate:
Stubborn and hard-hearted. Ambitious and serious. Loves to teach and be taught. Always looking at people's flaws and weaknesses. Likes to criticize. Hardworking and productive. Smart, neat and organized. Sensitive and has deep thoughts. Knows how to make others happy. Quiet unless excited or tensed. Rather reserved. Highly attentive. Resistant to illnesses but prone to colds. Romantic but has difficulties expressing love. Loves children. Loyal. Has great social abilities yet easily jealous. Very Stubborn and money cautious.
So I guess there's Alyssa summed up. ha ha Enjoy.

Quote of the Day
While playing Catch Phrase:
Garrett: They're almost extinct...
Deborah: Leprechauns!
The correct answer by the way was endangered species. Gotta love it.
