What did I tell you?!

So as an A-Team member, I get to tell lots of new students what to do and what not to do. All summer and still into the school year, I give out my words of advice, use stories and personal experiences as scare tactics, and ingrain in them all the important things they better get done if they want to graduate in a timely manner. Well for the last couple weeks, I have been trying to work out not only my schedule for next semester but also one for next year. As I only have 3 semesters left of my undergrad, I need to make sure everything is going to fit and that all my classes are going to be get done in time to graduate in Spring 2011. This was not an easy task to do, especially when I discovered a new prerequisite I had not previously known about. Well, I finally got my schedule down to something I could manage and I was ready to register! Now, USU does Priority registration, which means that when you register depends on how many credits you have. The minute midnight hits that is your class's time to register, it's chaos and you fight everyone for the classes that fill up quickly. Well, I am considered a Senior since I have 93 completed credits. Now I was so excited to be considered a senior because they are the very first to register (besides the Grad students) and I thought this would give me a really good chance at getting all the classes I have to have this semester in order to be on track for finishing out next year. Well, my registration day was Tuesday. Yup, today! Last night I thought, I register tomorrow, thinking "tomorrow night". I was gravely mistaken. I should have registered last night. By the time I went to register this afternoon when I realized my mistake, two of my crucial classes were full. Now I have to recreate my entire schedule for the next three semesters and hope it works out. Woe is me! I can't wait to get in and talk to my advisor next week! Until then, I have a tentative schedule and I'm hoping it will all work out. I can't believe I did this after harping on my students for the last two weeks to make sure they know their registration day so this exact thing didn't happen to them. I need to start paying attention to my own advice. haha
