So I picked up a couple extra shifts this week which tonight has me working in the Family Life building. This equals Alyssa alone in a computer lab being paid to do her homework and surf the web. Excellent!
The WAC Tournament was soo much fun! Although there is next to nothing to do in Reno, NV if you don't gamble, drink, or slut yourself, I knew a lot more people going this year, so my friends and I found plenty to do. I will definitely post pictures next time, but since I'm not on my own computer I don't exactly have access to them right now. The Aggies did well. We didn't win the championship unfortunately but because of our awesome season we still got a bid to the NCAA tournament. We played the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday and unfortunately lost to them too, although we were actually the favorite to win that game. Sad way to end the season, but what a great season it was!!! Now seven months til the end of October... :)
So after Reno, the rest of Spring Break consisted of a lot of laziness! Sleeping in, watching March Madness, watching the whole season of Glee and basically nothing else. It was awesome and just the break I needed right before jumping back into school for the crazy final six weeks of the semester. I can't believe how busy I've already been and it's only been two days back! But it's a good kind of busy and I'm trying to enjoy it and not let it stress me out. So far, so good!
Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment to fill two cavities. I'm really disappointed and a little scared. This is the only the second time in my life I've had cavities and the first time in my adult teeth. At least now they have those white filling and not the thug silver ones anymore. The shot's the worst part so I figure if I can put on a brave face during that part, I can pull off the whole appointment. But the truth is, I'm scared and I'll feel like crying. Don't tell anyone.
I've been trying to have a regular scripture pattern lately, so I try and read at least a chapter a night before I go to bed. Right now I'm in 3 Nephi, which is my favorite book! It's because this is when Jesus comes to the Americas after his Resurrection and teaches them and blesses them and gives them a new law. I love it! I always see a big difference in my life when I'm reading the Book of Mormon regularly and it's not different now. Things seem to work themselves out and I get the help that I need. I also have found myself more receptive to those around me who need help, even if it's just someone to talk to. It's really such a blessing.
I love this Gospel!
That's all for now, folks! Peace and Love!
Honestly, I've found it easier to not even get the shot. It depends how deep they are, but I think it's far less painful for them to just drill in a bit rather than having the shot... Maybe that's just me though...
ReplyDeleteslut themselves? you cracked me up!!!!! ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the appt went well and the dentist didn't try to be your boyfriend (Dr. Todd?? ugh). ha ha You survived!
Our RS challenged us to read the BoM all the way thru starting at the first of the year and finish by March 17 AND I DID IT! It was a great experience. I miss reading with all of you guys at home. I read all by my lonesome now.
I love you! I miss you! lots.
